HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A news conference is scheduled to be held Thursday afternoon after it was announced that two of the five Horry County officials who resigned following an internal investigation into reported sexual relationships plan to file lawsuits.
Four Horry County police officers — Sgt. Torry Lewis, Det. Don Kobithen, Investigator Kelsey Manemeit and Lt. Misty Gore — resigned Nov. 6, as well as the director of public information, Mikayla Moskov, as a result of the internal investigation.
Attorney Jonny McCoy said in a news release that Manemeit and Moskov are retaining him for lawsuits against the Horry County Police Department, former Horry County Deputy Administrator Randy Webster and others.
Webster retired earlier this month, citing ongoing medical concerns. He retired
