A large fire response has shut down part of a major Rockland County roadway as firefighters battle an intense house fire, authorities said.

According to the Clarkstown Police Department, multiple fire departments are operating at a house fire at 24 W. Broadway in Central Nyack as of Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m.

Police said one lane of westbound Route 59 is currently closed in the area of West Broadway, and drivers are urged to find alternate routes. 

The Monsey Scoop reported that the incident was a second-alarm structure fire, with numerous agencies and emergency personnel on scene. No injuries have been reported, according to the outlet. 

The fire has since been brought under control, according to the outlet.
