Kyra Cooney-Cross has been shortlisted to win the 'Marta' award for the best goal scored by a female player last season — but the Matildas ace will first have to beat the Brazilian superstar after whom the FIFA honour is named.

Arsenal midfielder Cooney-Cross marked her 50th appearance for her country with the most stunning of long-range efforts that set the Matildas on their way to a 2-1 win over Germany in Duisburg, their first win over the European powerhouse in 19 years.
