It seems as though former Penn State head coach James Franklin could be back leading a Power 4 program soon.
Franklin appears to be very much in the mix for coaching job openings at Virginia Tech and Arkansas. He has been rumored to be a candidate at both programs in recent weeks.
In fact, Kalshi has Franklin as the favorite to be the next head coach at Virginia Tech, listing him with a 59% chance of leading the Hokies program in 2026 as of Thursday afternoon.
James Madison head coach Bob Chesney has the second-best odds to be the next Hokies head coach at 25%, per Kalshi.
As for the Arkansas job, Kalshi has Franklin as the most-likely candidate there, too, at 44% as of Thursday afternoon. Former NFL coach Jon Gruden has the next best odds at 13%, followed by Memphis head coach R
