Amid loud cheers and chants in BJP's national headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the resounding victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. Referring to Bihar's traditional makhana-kheer (lotus pudding) recipe, Modi noted that today every family in the state would celebrate NDA's victory with 200+ (till the time the article was updated) seats with the traditional dessert item.

In his victory speech, the PM hailed the landslide majority as the victory of the developmental politics orchestrated by both Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar and the Central government. He also took a sharp jibe at the Mahagathbandhan over its abysmal performance in Bihar.
