The Kansas City Current will soon be on the hunt for a new head coach, according to reports.
According to ESPN, head coach Vlatko Andonovski is stepping down from his coaching role, though he won’t be saying goodbye to the organization. Advertisement
Andonovski will now serve solely as sporting director for the Current, a position that he already held.
As sporting director, he will continue to focus on the Current’s roster and staff and player development. He will also reportedly be involved in the hiring of a new head coach.
"I am really passionate about the long-term vision of the organization, which needs my full attention," Andonovski told ESPN . "I want to make sure that we win now, I want to make sure that we win in 2026 but really want to focus on winning in '28, '29 and '3
