MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - A report of a car being stolen with a child inside of it outside of an elementary school in Mt. Juliet had an unexpected ending, according to the police department.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department said officers responded to W.A. Wright Elementary School to reports of a stolen car with a child inside.
Officers quickly found the car and the child at their home.
So, what happened? Police said surveillance video showed the 10-year-old child climbing into the driver’s seat and driving the car home.
Police said the parent was inside the school when the incident took place.
