FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear provided an update Friday stating that Kentuckians will receive fully funded benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.
This follows uncertainty surrounding what SNAP benefit allocation would look like in November, leading to many communities to host food drives, while some food banks have reported seeing an increase in families stopping by for food.
In a social media post Friday, Beshear stated, “Great news, Kentucky – we’ve finally received the go-ahead to fully fund SNAP benefits for Kentuckians who rely on this assistance. Once again, our team will work through the night tonight, with the hope our families can see those benefits hit cards tomorrow.
