ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - As a memorial grows for a six-year-old boy killed in Gwinnett County, his parents say they’ll remember him for the light he brought “wherever he went.”
Abel Torres was hit by a driver near the intersection of Parkview Drive and Ramblewood Terrace in Lawrenceville, Telemundo Atlanta, Atlanta News First’s sister station, reported.
Karina Aquino and Juan Torres, Abel’s parents, smiled when asked to describe their son.
“Abel was a cheerful, bright and just a pure soul. Abel loved his church. He loved his family. He had a great imagination. He loved dinosaurs. He loved drawing, writing stories,” Aquino said. “We miss him. We’re hurting. But we have faith and hope that we are going to see him again.
Juan said they are leaving “everything in Jesus’ hands.”
