ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The proposed development of a Raising Cane’s on Ashford Dunwoody Road is causing controversy within the community.
“There are a lot of things that we can do with this land that’s not just necessarily Raising Cane’s,” Dunwoody resident Zack Humphries said.
Some city leaders are against a proposed double drive-thru at Raising Cane’s, which intends to build at the site of an abandoned bank.
“This drive-thru does not fit what the community expected,” Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch said.
“We’ve worked with the city’s traffic engineer and my understanding is there is not a current concern about queueing capacity,” Raising Cane’s Attorney Harold Buckley said.
