Folks driving down South Virginia Street just south of Plumb Lane will notice a couple of construction projects.

So what exactly are these projects?

The first project, which broke ground earlier this year, is a new retail property called Alamo Square. Public records show the parcel at 2027 S. Virginia St., as part of the first phase of the Glenmanor subdivision, which has several residential properties northwest of Virginia Lake. The Alamo Square parcel last sold in 2024 for $1.2 million, according to the Washoe County Assessor’s office.
