Nevada's first road game of the season did not go as well as the first three home games did for the Wolf Pack.

The Nevada basketball team shot better than it has in recent games, but Santa Clara had a hot shooting night and handed the Wolf Pack its first loss in the college basketball season.

The Broncos hit their first five shots out of the gate and had four players score in double figures, led by Christian Hammond with 27 points, as they took a 98-83 win over the Wolf Pack on Saturday in Santa Clara, Calif.

Santa Clara improved to 4-0, all double-digit victories. The Broncos shot 62 percent (38-of-61) and scored 16 points off turnovers, to four for the Wolf Pack.
