PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo Riverwalk will be temporarily drained beginning Monday, according to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP).
They said it is a temporary move as crews continue working on the HARP 1A Boathouse and Channel Expansion Project.
HARP said the water would soon be released into a newly constructed channel extension.
While it is being drained, the Riverwalk itself will stay open, but the construction zone on the east end will close, and pedestrian traffic will be rerouted through the Veterans’ Bridge.
They say the water is expected to return the next week.
