TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Teller County Sheriff’s Office issued two pre-evacuation warnings for a fire near Divide Friday, around 4:30 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, the fire is located near Highway 24 between Cougar Canyon Point and Lower Twin Rocks Road.
The first pre-evacuation warning includes residents 1/2 mile north of Highway 24 between Cougar Canyon Point and Lower Twin Rocks Rd (County Rd 42).
A second pre-evacuation warning is in place for the Highland Lakes Subdivision.
According to TCSO, residents in the area should be prepared to leave and evacuate now if you believe you are in danger. If you need extra time or help to evacuate, deputies suggest you should evacuate now.
