Hundreds of people were evacuated from Lapland Manchester on Friday due to Storm Claudia. Organisers say that "high speed winds and increasing severe weather forecast" posed safety risks to the public resulting in the closure of the site.

Guests who were set to visit the event have been told to contact the company directly to reschedule their visits.

This week was the grand opening of the Christmas themed attraction at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire .
