We are giving you the FIRST ALERT to a chance of showers and storms this weekend.
We had an overall nice Friday in Eastern Kentucky with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
As we head into the evening hours, we will stay mainly quiet.
Some places may have to dodge a stray shower or two, but those shower chances will be few and far between.
Saturday will start off mainly cloudy, but with a southwesterly flow ahead of a cold front, it will allow temperatures to back into the upper 60s and low 70s.
Then we head into Sunday where a cold front swings through in the morning hours.
Highs will only make it into the upper 50s and low 60s.
Rain chances stay persistent for next week with highs hovering near normal for the first half of the week, then we go back into the 60s for Thursday and Friday
