WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The bill that ended the longest government shutdown in United States history had a lot of people celebrating, but it didn't just open the government back up; it also has a provision that could change the hemp industry in a big way by banning most hemp-derived THC products.
That bill has caused a lot of confusion for people, including Deidra Riggs and her cousin, Sheilah Belle, who was visiting her in West Hartford this week.
"So, I live here in Connecticut. You live in Virginia, and neither one of us had heard about this until right now," Riggs said.
