MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Two motorists suffered injuries in a vehicle crash Friday afternoon in southwest Minot.
The city of Minot said police were dispatched shortly after 3 p.m. for the crash near the intersection of 16 th Street and 20 th Avenue SW.
A spokesperson for Minot Police confirmed both drivers were taken to the hospital for injuries, but did not have information on the extent of the injuries.
The crash created a significant traffic backup for a couple of hours, especially in the southbound lane of 16 th Street, heading north past the KMOT station. Minot Police redirected traffic while crews attended to the scene.
Traffic flow had returned to normal as of around 5 p.m.
The cause of the crash is unclear. We’ll update you as we learn more.
