JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - One person has been arrested in connection to a Jefferson County shooting last week.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Roderics Monroe was identified as a suspect in a Nov. 8 shooting at a Shell gas station in the 3600 block of Avenue E that sent a 37-year-old to UAB Hospital .

Officials say the condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Jefferson County officials say Monroe was identified and taken into custody Friday, Nov. 14 and was charged with attempted murder.

“Our team is continuously working hard to make Jefferson County safe for our citizens. This arrest exemplifies wonderful teamwork,” stated Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway.
