HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Anyone who has managed to scrape and claw their way out of addiction can undoubtedly share stories of heartbreak and sadness – but also motivation.

While hosting the Recovery Point awards dinner, WSAZ’s Tim Irr met a man who’s using a heavy metal message to highlight his struggle – and ultimately his own recovery.

Nate Holley, 37, has been clean for more than a dozen years from the grip of opioid addiction – crediting his recovery to power lifting, being involved in a Huntington-based band and his wife Becca.

For more about Holley’s story and his emergence from addiction, check out the video above.
