MINNEAPOLIS — This weekend marks 10 years since the death of Jamar Clark, a 24-year-old man who was killed by Minneapolis Police on Nov. 15, 2015, during a scuffle with officers on the North Side.
The two officers involved in the shooting, Mark Ringgenberg and Dustin Schwarze, were cleared of wrongdoing and not criminally charged. At the time, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman cited DNA evidence that he said supported law enforcement's theory that Clark grabbed for Ringgenberg's gun prior to Schwarze shooting him.
