TYLER, Texas — Hundreds of organizations and community leaders came together in Tyler to celebrate National Philanthropy Day – a day all about giving back and making a difference. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the event in East Texas.

Back in 1995, Nancy Lamar brought this celebration to town to honor the philanthropists whose work is leaving a lasting impact on our community.

Patricia Glass, owner of Flourish, said it's a chance to say thank you and collaborate – to see what’s already happening and figure out how to make an even bigger difference together.
