As NDA had a landslide victory with 202 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, here are a handful of constituencies that saw some of the tightest contests. Candidates won by very slim margins of 27 votes, 30 votes.
Bihar’s closest contests
Sandesh emerged as the most nail-biting battle of the election. JD(U) candidate Radha Charan Sah defeated RJD’s Dipu Singh by just 27 votes. Sah secured 80,598 votes (43.99 per cent), while Singh trailed with 80,571 votes (43.97 per cent).
In Ramgarh, the BSP scored its only win in Bihar and it came with a margin of merely 30 votes. BSP’s Satish Kumar Singh Yadav edged past BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh, securing 72,689 votes against Singh’s 72,659, both rounding off at 37.29 per cent.
