BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Employees at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp have been terminated after a whistleblower released alleged correspondence between convicted child-sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell and her lawyer, according to a CNN report.
Maxwell has been serving time at the minimum security facility since August . The emails this week were released to Maryland representative Jaime Raskin. Leah Saffin, Maxwell’s California-based attorney, said in a statement obtained by CNN, “The release to the media by Congressman Raskin (Dem., Maryland), of Ms. Maxwell’s privileged client-attorney email correspondence with me is as improper as it is a denial of justice,” and added that the employees were terminated for unauthorized access to the emails.
