A man has been injured after being hit by a police vehicle in Birmingham .

The collision between the pedestrian and police vehicle took place in Katie Road, in the Selly Oak area of the city, just before 8pm yesterday (November 14).

West Midlands Police said officers had been responding to an incident on 'blue lights'.

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries.

Oak Tree Lane located nearby was reportedly closed by police last night, with West Midlands Ambulance Service also in attendance.
