Tourism is alive and well in Scottsdale.
That was the message sent to several hundred people who attended Experience Scottsdale’s annual meeting Nov. 13.
“Last year we welcomed 11.7 million visitors,” Experience Scottsdale Board of Directors Chairman Ronen Aviram said. “Those visitors left behind an economic impact of $3.7 billion, and their spending directly supported over 28,000 jobs.”
Experience Scottsdale is a private nonprofit dedicated to drawing tourism to Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. It receives 45% of Scottsdale’s annual bed-tax revenue generated by overnight guests at Scottsdale’s hotels, resorts and short-term rentals.
The organization was responsible for over 238,000 room nights booked in town for meeting groups, said Rachel Sacco, Experience Scottsdale president and CEO
