Agartala, 15 th November 2025: Bishalgarh police today arrested Ajay Das, the alleged mastermind behind the robbery of Rs 5 lakh that had been borrowed for his niece’s wedding. He is scheduled to be produced before the court today, where the police are expected to seek remand.

The incident took place a few days back in the area adjacent to the railway bridge under Bishalgarh police station, where a man was robbed of the amount, triggering tension in the locality. Acting on the complaint, police officer Prosenjit Debnath initiated an investigation.
