FAYETTE COUNTY, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The Illinois State Police are handling a death investigation related to a missing persons case out of Vandalia.

According to the Vandalia Police Department, at around 6:34 a.m. Friday, they received a report of a missing person; that afternoon, a body was found.

Police said that a suspect has been arrested.

Little information about this case has been released as of Saturday morning, due to the early stages of the investigation, according to police.
