Officers with the Sixth Precinct Investigative Unit were at the home of Tyler Schmalenberger, 30, on Friday, Nov. 14, while looking into an earlier menacing incident in which he allegedly pointed what appeared to be a handgun at an acquaintance, police said.

During their search of the residence in the 1600 block of Main St., investigators recovered several 3D-printed firearm receivers along with other 3D-printed gun parts, including a complete parts kit, two 3D-printed long-gun receivers, a magazine, a Glock-style spring kit, and AR components, according to the release.

Schmalenberger was charged with Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled for arraignment at a later date, police said.
