KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Friday night into Saturday, local authorities worked to fulfill the City of Kansas City’s ongoing promise that it will mitigate dangerous crimes including street racing and sideshows.

The Kansas City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office partnered together for the initiative. In total, they arrested five people, issued 38 hazardous moving citations and towed 9 vehicles.

Photos from KCPD show confiscated weapons, and the department said one sideshow “in the making” was broken up.
