EUGENE, Ore. - A high-speed chase unfolded near Valley River Center on Friday when a driver in a Ford F-150 failed to stop for Eugene police, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said the situation unfolded at about 3:05 p.m. on Nov. 14 with a chase that involved multiple police units. Two patrol vehicles were damaged when the chase reached Club Road and Cedarwood Drive. The driver of the suspect vehicle continued eastbound toward MLK Boulevard where the driver met heavy Game Day traffic, police said. During the incident, a passenger fled on foot but was quickly detained by officers. The driver and another passenger were apprehended after officers executed a forcible stop near MLK Boulevard and Garden Way, damaging a third patrol vehicle.
