It’s time to shine.

Registration for the City of Niagara Falls Sparkle Awards, a free, outdoor, holiday-themed decorating competition, starts on Monday.

Residents can register their properties until Dec. 8.

Judging and public voting will run from 6 p.m. on Dec. 12 to 10 p.m. Dec. 14.

Prizes will awarded in several categories including best effects, judge’s favourite and the Fred Girardo Community Choice Award.

Winners will be announced Dec. 19.

Once registration closes, a map of participating properties will be available on the city’s website.

Competitors can share sneak peeks of their properties leading up to the competition on the event’s Facebook page .
