Michigan’s football team made history Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field, but not the kind it will be wanting to repeat anytime soon.
The 18 th -Wolverines lost the turnover battle against Northwestern 5-0 but won the game 24-22 , thanks to a 31-yard walk-off field goal from Dominic Zvada. Prior to Saturday, teams with a minus-five turnover margin in Big Ten games were 0-17 since at least 2000.
Miscues started to add up quickly in the second half for Michigan (8-2, 6-1), but the victory keeps its College Football Playoff hopes alive.
