AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) -The Bushland Lady Falcons volleyball team advanced to the state championship game after defeating the Ponder Lady Lions in a five-set semifinal match.

The teams traded momentum throughout the match before Bushland took control in the final set to secure the victory.

The win marks the sixth consecutive state championship appearance for Bushland. The Lady Falcons have won the state title in each of the past two years and will attempt to capture their third straight championship.

Bushland completed an undefeated run through district play with a 6-0 record. The team defeated Jim Ned in the regional semifinals, Peaster in the regional finals and Ponder in the state semifinals to reach the championship game.
