As temperatures fall and snow moves into the forecast for part of the state overnight and into Sunday, one area of Michigan is now under a Winter Weather Advisory.
The counties of Luce, Chippewa and Mackinac, in the eastern portion of the Upper Peninsula, are under this advisory. Anywhere from 2 to 7 inches of snow are forecast for this area. The incoming gusty winds will make it difficult to know exactly where the heaviest snow bands will set up, the National Weather Service meteorologists in Marquette said.
But all this blowing snow could make travel difficult, dropping visibility for drivers and making the roads hazardous while the wind-whipped snow is coming down.
