MINNEAPOLIS — Two people were injured after a Metro Transit Police Department squad car was struck by a light-rail train in Minneapolis on Friday.
According to the authorities, the collision happened around 5 p.m. near South 5th Street and South 5th Avenue.
A Metro Transit PD officer and an "adult male suspect" were in a squad car at the time of the crash, according to a release from the department. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital.
Authorities said that no injuries were reported on the train.
