ST PAUL, Minn. — The St. Paul Police Department said it has taken a person into custody related to a fatal hit-and-run on Nov. 13.

According to a statement from the SPPD, officers stopped a SUV that matched the description of the suspect vehicle after 3:15 p.m. at I-94 and Highway 52.

"The registered owner of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident & will be questioned by an investigator," said the statement.

The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Thursday near St. Anthony Avenue and Aldine Street. Police said a 30-year-old Amber Deneen was hit by what witnesses say was a dark SUV that left the scene. She later died at the hospital.
