Southern football dropped its last home game to Texas Southern 35-30 on Saturday at A.W. Mumford Stadium. Here are our takeaways from the game:

Blown lead

Southern should’ve beaten Texas Southern, but it relinquished a 14-point lead. The Jaguars had 437 total yards to Texas Southern’s 369. The Jaguars, however, returned to their old ways of poor-timed miscues from their quarterbacks. Ashton Strother threw an interception with 15 seconds left before halftime and Cam’Ron McCoy had a lost fumble at his team’s own 25-yard line.
