Reaffirming the Government’s commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and quality education to tribal children, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday virtually laid the foundation stone for a new Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Baljek Aduma village under Dadenggre C&RD Block in West Garo Hills.
The announcement was made as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas celebrations in Gujarat, where the Prime Minister inaugurated 42 EMRS schools worth Rs 1,900 crore and laid the foundation stone for 50 more valued at over Rs 2,320 crore. The upcoming EMRS at Dadenggre is among the new institutions approved under this initiative.
The virtual ceremony was streamed at the Multi Facility Centre in Dadenggre, attended by Assistant Commissioner of Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division Solomon
