ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Six months after the May 16 tornado destroyed homes across North City, one survivor is moving into a new place with help from volunteers working to restore what the storm took away.
Melvin Arnold, whose home of more than 40 years was damaged in the tornado, moved into a new residence just minutes from his old neighborhood with assistance from Grassroots Redeeming Love and its volunteers.
“Oh, this is a dream come true. This is like a miracle,” Arnold said as volunteers helped him settle into his new home. “Compared to where I came from to where I am now, dreams do come true and miracles do happen. This is one of them right here. I’m just thankful that the ladies that came into my life, after the tornado, made this possible. I mean, everyone that was invol
