Wind advisory issued for 15 N.J. counties for Sunday

On Saturday at 7:05 p.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Sunday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland and Atlantic counties.

The weather service says, “West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
