A Big Year for La Broquerie’s Historic Church

It’s been a busy and satisfying year for the St. Joachim Parish in La Broquerie, as major portions of the long-awaited renovation project have now been completed.

Lucien Grenier, spokesperson and member of the church’s financial committee, says the progress has been steady and impressive.

“You know what? I was very, very satisfied with the year we had,” Grenier says. “We did the front entrance, which includes the ramps and the railings. Well, railings are not in yet, but the ramps are in, the front steps are in, the parking pad for handicap is in, the doors are going to be in by the end of the week, the lighting for outside is done, the insulation for the attic is done, and the air-to-air heat exchanger is in, so we reduce our cost on heatin
