At 8:39 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a lake effect snow warning valid from 10 a.m. until Monday 1 p.m. for Forest County.

The weather service adds, "Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."

"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute," describes the weather service. "If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
