If all of the ingredients come together just right, Mother Nature could produce a few inches of snow somewhere in central or southern Minnesota overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.
Right now, the odds of that happening aren't very high, although the National Weather Service expects rain to transition to snow Monday night into Tuesday morning.
"Light rain could change over to a wintry mix of light rain & snow late Monday night through Tuesday morning. Slushy accumulations around 1" or less are possible," the Twin Cities office of the National Weather Service said in a Sunday morning update.
