Black Friday will officially begin on November 28 this year but that doesn’t mean Aussie retailers won’t fire up their engines (and deals) early to beat others to the punch.
With cost-of-living pressures still biting, Aussies are getting strategic about their festive spending this year.
Some two-thirds or 67 per cent plan to finish most of their Christmas shopping before December, the earliest on record.
New research from Afterpay has found that 56 per cent are spreading the cost, while 45 per cent are waiting for sales on the big-ticket items.
This comes after nearly 40 per cent cashed in on Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals last year, with Black Friday emerging as the biggest shopping day of 2024.
