TOWN OF LODI, Wis. (WKOW) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash that happened on Oct. 30 on Highway 60 near Hillestad Road in the Town of Lodi, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Witnesses told deputies that both vehicles were traveling westbound on Highway 60. One vehicle tried to pass several cars and collided with another that was turning onto Hillestad Road.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, the drivers were trapped in their vehicles and were taken to local hospitals.

Both vehicles ended up in the ditch, with one on its side.

One of the drivers, a 76-year-old man from Illinois, died from his injuries on Nov. 15.

Sheriff Roger L. Brandner expressed his condolences, saying, "This is a tragic incident for all involved."
