The storm system that moved through Southern California on Saturday, Nov. 15, brought rain, flooding and even mudslides to the Coachella Valley.

But it was a different story atop the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway on Mount San Jacinto, where staff say one inch of snow was recorded for the first time this season — bringing the tramway’s annual snow guessing contest to an end.
