NEW YORK (AP) — New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot in the abdomen in Midtown early Sunday morning, sources tell Spectrum News NY1 .
Boyd, 29, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
Sources say the shooting took place at Broadway and West 38th Street.
Sources say police are looking for a man who fled in a blue BMW. Police have confirmed no arrests have been made.
“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” a Jets spokesperson said in a statement. Boyd’s agent didn’t immediately respond to a text message inquiring about the incident.
