Madison Comic Con takes over the Monona Terrace

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison has welcomed its annual comic convention back to town.

The yearly event brings fans of anime, gaming, cosplay and comic books together at the Monona Terrace Convention Hall.

Madison Comic Con featured celebrities and voice actors from a variety of different shows, including “SpongeBob Squarepants,” “The Walking Dead,” and “Power Rangers.”

Randy Beasley, who has helped put on the event for the past ten years, loves the feeling of nostalgia he gets when he comes to celebrate.

“Madison is one of the wonderful communities where there’s cosplayers, there’s collectors,” Beasley said. “It’s pretty full right now, and I’m super happy. But more importantly, I see people smiling and grabbing things that they want, like the toys and stuff and the comics, and that pu
