BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Lanes remained closed after an 18-wheeler overturned on Interstate 20 westbound in Birmingham.
The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene at 2 p.m. Sunday and found the large truck had flipped over in the curve that merges with Interstate 59 near the airport.
The fire department said the crash resulted in an oil spill and fire.
Authorities said no injuries have been reported, but the westbound lanes remained closed as of 6 p.m.
